Pocket paradigms

A CHRONIC PART of the problems in the Middle East has been the notion that you can't talk to people such as Hamas or Iran until they recognize Israel. This is like putting the icing on before you bake the cake. Recognition is a symbolic act that will follow the resolution of real problems between the groups involved.
